Galrauch, proud son of the Empire, had two score days ago slain a foul dark elf witch, in her last moments she had said her in own language, no word he had heard before, but he understood it all to well, like a wicked tongue lashing on the back of his mind. He just drove his blade into her stomach again and saw her dead. A curse, she claimed to put on him, at first he scoffed at her, no witch held power over a Son of Kord,
That was at first. It had not been one day later when he felt the worry, clumsiness had over taken him, all of his retinue told him he was being foolish, over looking it, but they were wrong, he felt it, her...damnable curse. Curse the witch a dozen dozen times and another dozen! Galrauch felt the wickedness of her last breaths hanging over his head like a storm cloud.
So he rode, away from Leuchtfeuer, but not that far, two hours travel into the Pass, off the beaten track and into the woods. He had been careful about it, a man like himself could not be seen asking Witch's for help, but the ambassador of the dark arts was of the same people as the one he had slain, she knew there magics, he simply did not feel his mentor's blessings aiding him. But he was not truly giving blessing for he did not believe in the curse. They were a faux.
Galrauch stepped off his horse at the edge of the wood, taking his reigns in hand he moved inwards, following after the trail he had been told the Dead Raiser had taken. It took not long to find her, he left the horse, Closing the distance between the two, she had not yet seen him, adorned in his usual armour, with his perfect white cloak at his back, a true sign of his families wealth.
"Witch!" he called, to get her attention and know she had company when she was but fifteen feet away. He removed his helmet, giving his long black hair a chance to fall around his face before shaking it away. "I am Galrauch, of the Teldarair family, knight of the Empire, I have come for your aid in a matter of the most importance. And I have brought tribute." he informed, before taking a small bag of gold coins from his waist and tossing it to her feet, several spilling revealing a freshly cleaned shine.

Helia looked down at the coins at her feet, making no move to pick them up, her golem would be sure to do that when she moved away from this spot. "Greeting sir knight." She said, her deep rich voice sweeping over the space between them. She took a step forward ready to close the distance. She held gaze for a second, then looked around him. "Is there something the mater, something I can be of service to you for?" She brought his question to light again. "And perhaps you could call me by my proper title, Dead Raiser."

"So be Dead Raiser." he replied, he was not fond of the Dark Elves, and he found it hard to hide, but he knew he had to somewhat bite his tongue in this meeting. "Some time ago I was in battle with one of your people, I was the victor and she was slain, but taking defeat well was not in her nature and the witch has placed a curse upon me. I would assume you know of similar magic's and can remove it." He informed, he was not glad he had to hide out in a wood to let a witch remove the curse, it would be scandalous to be found asking anything more then a priest of Kord for aid.

Helia walked forward. "Regular business hours are morning through noon at the ambassadors hall." Helia said, looking at him, his story seemed to have some validity to it. But she wasn't raised around Dark Elf magics, nor did she know more about them than most of the other Dark Practitioners. "But I'm moved by your plea, I'll see what I can do." Her Golem moved from out of the brush and began to collect the coins. Then she Took them from the dead creatures fingers and looked at the Knight before her. "But I must warn you, I'm only half elf, I could be useless to you."

"If your knowledge is found wanting then my opinion of your people will not be changed, you have nothing to lose." He informed, although for not his eyes were focused on the giant of corpse that had revealed itself, it was a foul creature to say the very least. He was tempted to smite it and its owner on the spot, its crime being its existence and nothing else. She would not even allow the dead to have their rest, it was disgusting. It made him all more happy with himself for having taken out that damnable witch nearly three weeks ago.

Helia sat down. "Why don't you tell me the nature of the curse?" She said, she adjusted her skirt to cover properly, her legs shining white in the afternoon sun, and motioned to another rock along the way, "Have a seat." The half elf's ears twitched slightly the tips making more of a downward motion, she was unsure, but she would give it her best. She had nothing against this Knight, other than his attitude.

Galrauch was not generally one to sit in a dark, damp wood, but agreed for the time being, so make his hopeful saviour more comfortable if nothing else. "I have been cursed with bad fortune since my battle with the witch, my hands do not seem to recognise my movements, I have dropped my sword three times in sparring with my father! I nearly fell from my horse in a simple mount just this morning! Everything I do seems to be on the brink of failure." He informed, resolute that this curse was certainly of a nature most foul.

As Helia mentally went through all of the curses she'd heard of that Dark Elves used. She'd never even heard of anything like that, she couldn't imagine such a petty curse to be placed on some one as the witch died. She sighed, and decided he was simply over reacting. She decided to indulge him a little more. "Did you get any symptoms just after, such as hair falling out, teeth rotting, loss of sexual drive?"

He looked to her as she spoke, almost insulted by the last one. "Nay, none of that, just what I described, poor luck in everything I do." he replied, not wanting to push it, but he had described the symptoms, and he clearly had a full head of hair, and his teeth were fine. "Do you know what this is? Do you know of the curse Dead Raiser?" he was not sure if he should feel want of the curse to be rid of him, or hopefully that she could not cure what the priests of Kord could not. It was...something of a catch 22.

The Dead Raiser lifted her shoulders about to admit that it was truly just his over active imagination. Then it hit her- this man was only 'cursed' because he was paranoid, every little thing he mentioned probably happened because was concentrating so hard on the Dark Elf's curse. She let her shoulders sag, and decided to play along with him, just as she would with a child and a rabbit killed by a wolf. Simply let the animal hop away by her animation, then be put to rest in the brush. Though this was no mater of animation, it was simply calling on some dark magic. The woman stood, and lifted one arm towards the sky, the other she placed firmly on Galrauch's shoulder, she then closed her eyes and whispered the archaic words. The air around them turned to a thick mist, the sky above seemed to be blotted out in shades of grey and violet. Helia called forth the spirit of a dark elf. She conversed a few moments with the elf in the archaic tones of the dead then released the spirit. She turned to the knight and placed her other hand on his shoulder, leaning her face close to his. "She gave me the release spell." She informed. Then Helia closed her eyes, and in the same archaic tones of the dead, she told him how silly he was. And then she stopped took a few steps away. And looked at him. "There." She clasped her hands neatly before her. "Good as new."

Galrauch was sitting in his place, it was with the greatest effort he didn't lob off her hand when she touched his shoulder. She was the first Dark Elf to get away with that. He had nothing against Dwarves or regular elves of even those Orcs, but he hated those damn Dark Elves. But there was always tension between Dark Elves and basically everything else, they were so elitist, and they worshipped false gods, that deserved only to be destroyed.
Even thought she was casting magic to aid him, he couldn't help but find it repulsive, everything about it was foul and wicked. An insult to the ideals he upheld. When she was done, he was relieved it was over, but had felt nothing happen. He looked to his gauntleted hands for a moment, as if expecting to see something that wasn't his own. "Should I not feel different Dead Raiser?"

She gave him a soft smile. "You told me your self, shortly after the curse you felt nothing, and then the symptoms began." She removed both hands from his shoulders, and reached her hand out, the golem came to her, and handed her her staff and the coin purse. She looked in the coin purse as if estimating what was in it. "It is the same with the cure." After she closed the purse she tucked it under her right shoulder plate, and then turned back towards Galrauch the sound of they skulls on tapping against the wood of her staff. "If you need me again, please call me by name- Helia, Dead Raiser."

Galrauch was willing to believe that, for now. "I shall take your word on that Dead Raiser. But if this does not work, and I find you have wronged me, I shall return and your monster..." he informed, nodding towards the golem. "..will be no defence." He informed before rising from his position, looking to his hands again. "And if it does work, well then, good day to you Helia." and with that he started to move towards his horse.
Hearing a twig snap, somewhere to his side, Galrauch twisted, hand to sword, not removing it just yet as he scoured the wood, something was out there.

Helia moved towards Galrauch, her pointed ears twitching as she heard noises near by. "I believe we've attracted the wrong sort of attention." She said, her deep voice low so that he could hear her but her words would not be carried far. The woman shifted her staff in her hands, so that it was in a defensive position, her Golem moved towards the both of them, ready to defend his master.

There was a moment of silence...then the darkening wood was awash with a stream of green, goblins! Small filthy things, not up to Galrauch's waist at most. The Knight was quick to move, swinging his sword, both hands at its hilt so he could drive with full force, considering their size, it was easy to chop the damn things in half. But there was many, so many, dozens if not more.
And where there were Goblins...there was always Black Orcs....
