Radgar sat in the dark candle lit tavern, it was lit the way that most taverns in the world were but it seemed as if in all taverns you could sense the emotional state of the building and by extension the city. After all he'd been in taverns before where the dark flickering cast evil looking shadows and emphisised the scars of vicious mercenaries and evil bandits. This how ever had a warm glowing feeling, like a community coming together under one roof to unwind and spent their hard earnt (or won) gold. In the corner there was a bard plucking a lute with a beautiful woman who could've been his wife, lover or even possibly his sister due to the common place of musical traveling families who was singing in soft yet happy tones next to him. Radgar was alone at the table with a mug of ale, not the best he'd ever tasted but definetly preferable to the Dwarven ale they boasted could make a troll drunk in 2 pints. His staff leant against the table, looking like an old hermits walking stick rather then the weapon that channeled magical energy. Letting out a relaxed sigh he took in his suroundings, Wondering where his next journey would take him to.

Helia walked into the tavern, seeing as her cooking skills were far from par she had to retreat to many of the taverns and inns for food when the days work had finished. Today she work a long floor length red dress, hemmed in black trimming, it's back laced closed and her hair was wrapped in tight black fabric from the nape of her neck down to the ends. Her staff was with her, the only thing denoting her role as a Necromancer of the Dark Practitioner order- and general grievance to the current ambassador to the Practitioners on the magicians council of the city. Today she'd chosen one of the more agreeable taverns in the city, hoping the food, drink and company would be more savory than the taverns by the docks. Being a half elf she couldn't even attempt to make it into the upper level vendors. When she reached the bar she ordered one of the thicker stews and a pint, then retreated to one of the many communal tables, noting an older gentle man with a staff, he didn't seem like he'd cause much disturbance.

Radgar looked as someone sat at his table, the first thing he noticed was her staff, which meant she was a magician like him...possibly a necromancer from the design of her staff, He wasn't much fond of necromancy...he found it to be cruel to the dead and was a rather parasidic form of magic but he tried not to judge too harshly...after all judging with a clouded mind only led to bloodshed. The other thing that struck him was that she was a Dark Elf...in at least part, he'd not seen one of those in years and he'd never seen a Dark Elf halfbreed. Eyeing her a little he spoke in a soft tone "Good afternoon...who might you be?"

The hybrid turned her head to him, her grey eyes searched his face. "I am Helia, Necromancer class Dead Raiser." She tilted her head slightly when she heard the barmaid arrive with her food and drink, once they woman left Helia turned back to the human. "And who might you be?" She looked at the spoon given to her, it was old and dinted, but clean, gently she set it into the stew and scooped up some of the broth, ready to sip it.

Radgar inclined his head when she asked for his name and said "Radgar Siltanson is my name. Nice to meet you Helia, but the title I think may be unnecessary, titles after all are but what? extra names given to make ourselves feel important...if you pardon my saying" he wasn't sure how far his name traveled but he hoped she did not take him for just some crazy old man handing out lessons he wished to give to long ago grown up children. Taking a swig from his ale he let out a breath, it really was quite nice ale.

Helia nodded. "Often enough for a half-blood a title is the only way your treated with respect." She informed. Some times full bloods didn't understand, then again she didn't expect special treatment from any way, just the same as any one else of her rank. She ladled out another spoon full of the stew then returned to the sagely man's conversation when she'd finished. "What has brought you here to Leuchtfeuer then Radgar Siltanson?"

Radgar smiled a warm and gentle smile when she asked what he was doing here. Picking up his staff to show it's pressence he said "I am a Magician...an wanderer if you will, I travel the world making medicanes and potions for people in out lying villages...but certain herbs and plants don't grow along my route or are from hard to reach places...in my younger days I would venture there but now I find it simpler to buy what I need in the markets here..I also have friends in this city, I entertain the children with parlour tricks when I am here." he nodded when he was finished leaning his staff up against the table again and taking another swig from his ale.

The half-elf smiled as the music faded to the end of the song, and picked up again into a lighter jig. "A wizard are you?" She gave him a sly smile. The Wizards that traveled around these parts tended to have friends in high places, nothing was out of their reach not even family secrets. "Tell me Radgar, have you met a Galrauch, Knight of the Empire?" She asked, curious as to the end results of his 'curse'.

Radgar peered curiously at the Elf...what was she looking for exactly? people in the higher circles knew of his family, but she used the word meet....pondering he wondered what she could get out of this, in the end he decided it was only infomation and most of the people who knew Radgar also knew of his old adventures with the man's father. Nodding he said "Aye I have...his Father is a friend of mine, So I've seen him grow from the young babe he was in to the Warrior he is now, why so interested in him? I know some of the young lasses swoon at the sight of him but I thought a Necromancer would be above such things"he smirked at the end at his little joke, it wasn't really meant in jest...purely a little comment

Helia chuckled in good humor. "No, I'm afraid I've not been swooning at the sight of him. Far from it actually." She decided to word this in the most flattering way. "The dear Knight was cursed, a most temporary curse, but he sought my help in removing it. I was wondering if you'd seen him recently, I never spoke to him again after that, I didn't know how he faired after the curse was broken." The half-elf didn't want to reveal just yet that the curse was all in Galrauch's mind. She was secretly hoping to be able to reveal that to him herself. So she could see the look on the man's face when he realized how stupid he'd been.

Radgar raised an eyebrow at the mention of that. He was cursed was he? or at least a temporary, curses...in his expirience at least tended to be quite serious, often plaguing many generations of a family before someone puts it down. He moved his fingers through his beard slightly before saying in a tone that sounded a little bit confused "A Tempory...and very slight curse? you make it sound like he had a bout of the winter shivers....was whoever gave it to him particuarly half hearted about it?"

Helia felt like laughing heartily but thought better of it. "I'm afraid they were entirely serious." She said her lip twitching slightly curving into a smile which made her look more like a human than an elf. "A dark elf he slew in battle, so he said. To tell the truth I don't think he was truly cursed." She took a sip of the ale. "It was in fact all in his mind." She so wanted to warn him not to tell Galrauch, she wanted to let the boy stay wriggling on the hook for a while.
