Species
Humans
Humans are a race found almost everywhere in the known world, varying in height, weight and creed. They are mentally and physically flexible, able to adapt like no other race. Humans generally live in large cities protected by high walls, or small villages in which they are mostly farmers or tradesmen. While physically slow compared to the elf, weak compared to the Orc and delicate compared to the dwarf, they have proved countless times over their short history to be one of the most courageous and ingenuitive races. Seeing as Half Orcs and Half Elves are not rare, it can be assumed Humans are highly inter breedable. Whilst being one of the most numerous races Humans have one of the shortest life spans. Most Humans live a natural life span of around 80 years.

Dwarves
Dwarves are a long lived group of lively miners. They enjoy drinking and spending time with their family and clans. Most older Dwarves complain that they had it much harder than the younger ones.
Female dwarves are hard to come by due to the low female birthrate. Rarely are female dwarves seen by any one but male Dwarves so it has become popular belief that they look just like the men. The Dwarves are master blacksmiths, with everything from horse shoes to armours and weapons being their chief exports, although they reserve selling the sacred Mithril pieces to particular individuals that have earned the blessing of the current Dwarf King, Gloin Ironside.
Dwarf clans tend to live apart from one another, but usually only a few miles. All well known Dwarf settlements are within a chain of mountains that stretch six thousand miles down the centre of Heimatland. Dwarves are one of the best endured races in the world. They can live up to around 300 years but because of their hardiness most are active and strong up until the day of their death, making their passing a complete surprise to their family.

Hybrids
Hybrids are the half blooded children of two races usually human's and one of the longer lived races. While they are not all together shunned most families choose to send the often illegitimate halfblooded offspring to live in temples or convents, while others choose to raise them in as heirs. Humans are the most notable for keeping their halfbred children, while it is known both Dark Elves and Black Orc's kill or enslave halfblooded children in their midsts. Hybrids age is different depending on what race they are a mixture of, but it is generally noted that the Mother's race is a good indication of the child's expected life span.
Non Playable Races[/b]
Giants
Large creatures with several "cousin" species, among the oldest races in the known world.
Frost Giants who live in the north and are known for their cunning whit and are gravely jealous of the gods and have been known to cause them trouble on many occasions. They are often seen in raiding groups of up to a dozen, they have icy blue skin, they all have white hair and long plaited facial hair is a matter of pride among males. They are known to dislike wizardy, but respect those with shaman backgrounds. Frost Giant woodcrafters produce highly prized items.
Storm Giants live in the south, they are kind people to those who show them no ill will. They love gladiatorial combat, but the fights rarely result in injury. They have been known to produce the worlds largest suits of metal armour and metal weapons, often selling to Cloud Giants. Much to the chagrin of fire giants. They stand taller then their frosty cousins, but shorter then Cloud giants. They are protective of their roads and territories, but will grant safe passage to those that can make them laugh with a joke, and don't look like troublemakers.
Fire Giants are the Giants of the Dwarves, in size and build. They are the only race of giants that can be considered intelligent enough to build forges and homes that tend to be evil.
Stone Giants are the smallest and most dim witted of the giants, very dense. Generally seen wearing clothes made from hundreds of scraps patched together of cloth, leather and fur. They tend to have a "wack with tree trunk first, ask questions later" but they often forget the ask questions part. They'd be considered evil, but most people think them more like animals then giant humanoids.
Cloud Giants the wisest and most rare of all giants, they command the respect of all other Giants and when they make a home near the settlement of another race, that people are often blessed by its wisdom, settling arguments and protecting them from foreign threats. Assuming they give the respect deserved.
Goblins
Small green little fiends, lacking in courage and muscle, they are often slaves to Black Orcs, they breed faster then humans. Some legends say Goblins used to be Halfings and Gnomes, but after they're brutal genocide, mass enslavement and possible inbreeding by the Green Orcs, they fled to a foul, smelly swamp land only to be later enslaved by the Black Orcs a few thousand years later. It is often joked among other races that if a Goblin ever does his job properly under his Orc Masters, he'll probably end up dead, due to the hazardous jobs there given. In times of emergency (and celebration among the more brutal Black Orc Clans), Goblins become food.
Nagi
Snake bodied people who reside in the rainforest and Oceans. They are wise but greedy people who sell their wisdom and knowledge for large sums of gold. Most Nagi are ugly disfigured creatures with the heads of snakes, torso's of human's and lower body of snakes, but their are the few rare gracefully and ethereal few who are most often chosen to lead the Nagi. Nagi have an inbred hatred of elves and are known to kidnap and devour the children of the long eared race.
Dryads
Dryads are creatures who live in the northern wood. They are flirtatious creatures who can take the form of trees. They reproduce asexually seeing as their are no males in their species. They have been known to keep treasures tucked into their branches and hair.
Minotaurs Minotaurs can be as tall as a Black Orc and just as hostile to people that enter their territory, be it other race or other Minotaur. They are famous for their polygamy, with a Male Minotaur often having a dozen or so wives. They often work for Dark Elves under a mercenary service, when brute force is needed, in exchange for magically enchanted weapons and already trained slaves. Young Minotaurs leave the herd once they reach the teenage years, and must wander the lands until they find another herd, only to kill its "Bull" and take his wives.

*Elves:
Wood Elves; Pale skinned Elves that reside in the wood and hunt and fish for their livings. Wood Elves are most commonly trained in the arts of Druid, Hunters, and Rangers.
Dark Elves;Blue skinned Elves that reside in the mountains that boarder the wood that houses the Wood Elves. Dark Elves are female dominated cult peoples who practice the rite of blood pacts and often cannibalistic rights of passage. They are most commonly train the arts of Sorcery, Necromancy or Rouge arts.
Common Elves; Dark skinned Elves who roam nomadically through the plains of the Southern lands. They gather foliage and herbs for healing, and sell wares to humans and other travelers. They usually stay out of wars but have been known to be vicious fighters when the time arrises. They are most commonly trained in the arts of Healing, Rangers, and Sorcery. Whilst different types of elves look and act very differently they seem to have very similar life spans. Many whisper that Elves are immortal but though they live an extremely long time they are far from such. Most Elves live up to around 6000 years old but as they stop aging when they reach adulthood they look similar to a young human at their death, making guessing an Elf's age nearly impossible.
*Orc:
Orcs come in two varieties, the Green Orcs that originally came from the far south, from the usually standing up to seven foot tall and once they set up a village, it takes a considerable force (or sum of gold) to make them move. Orcs are one of the oldest races in existence, known for being some of the most savage warriors and barbarians, to some of the most respected shamans. Males and females tend to be powerfully built, with a highly toned body being a mark of pride, some are so freakishly muscled other races find it confusing.
The other breed of Orc, the Black Orc, is a far younger breed. Black Orcs, unlike other races, don't stop growing at some point. The oldest Orcs can be over eleven foot tall, they lack the Shamans of Green Orcs, and tend to be more nomadic, going on massive warpaths that only stop when they have more loot and spoils then they can carry. Known to have dealings with the Dark Elves, dim creatures at best with a Might Makes Right attitude. Very proficient with metal, possibly due to close proximinty of the Dwarves they were first discovered by. Like their smaller, green cousins, Black Orcs tend to be heavy with muscle, they tend to look fat and slow. Truth by told their bodies naturally muscle well, but don't tone. All Orcs of tusks, that make pronouncing certain letters difficult to impossible. Green Orcs, as the most civilized of the two breeds live around a hundred years each. The black Orcs though tend to live shorter lives. Whilst it is possible for an Orc to live a hundred years a Black Orc tends to be murdered or fall in battle much before that, this is why Black Orcs usually only live in to their 50'ies or 60'ies.
